Rodents

Mice Facts:

Damage: Mice can chew through wires, insulation, and even furniture, posing fire hazards and structural damage.

Disease Transmission: They can contaminate food and surfaces with their urine, droppings, and saliva, potentially spreading diseases like Hantavirus.

Rapid Reproduction: A female mouse can have multiple litters of babies each year, leading to rapid population growth and potential infestations.

Contamination: They constantly contaminate surfaces and food with their bodily fluids and hair.

Infestation Signs: Common signs of a mouse infestation include droppings, gnawing marks, and scratching noises.

Food Preferences: While they will eat almost anything, they are particularly fond of seeds, grains, and other food items stored in homes.

Nests: Mice prefer to nest in dark, quiet areas, such as behind walls, in storage areas, or under floors.

Rat Facts

While rats are similar to mice and carry about the same diseases, they are much larger, leave larger droppings, and cause more damage thru gnawing. The are also more cautious than mice and are less likely to be seen before they enact damage. They will also eat a wider variety of food including non-food items. If you think you see rodents or their damage call The Bugman to rid your home of these nasty pests.
