Mole Facts
- Typically solitary animals that only socialize to mate.

- Almost never eats plants or seeds.
- Can dig up to 15 feet per hour.

- Mating season is late winter, offspring become
independent from mothers after 1 month.
- Moles can cause significant damage to lawns and gardens
through their tunneling, which can disrupt root systems,
create unsightly mounds, and even pose safety hazards.
Gophers
- Gophers are herbivores and are attracted to lawns and gardens with a plentiful supply of vegetation, including grasses, roots, bulbs, and tubers.
- They prefer loose, soft soil that's easy to dig and tunnel through, which is why well-maintained lawns with good drainage can be attractive.
- They dig one to three mounds per day, on average 70 per month, and they can excavate hundreds of feet of tunnels underground. Gopher damage to your yard may also include killing vegetation, like green and succulent plants.
